DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
At the Board meeting on June 21, 2022, with Legistar file 22-1056, the Board requested the Clerk to look into additional locations for the County's Boards, Committees, and Commissions to meet. The Clerk of the Board's office continues to identify and evaluate locations that meet the criteria established by the Board. After establishing that Conference C at the Government Center in Placerville meets the criteria, the Clerk's office is requesting that the room be added to the approved list of meeting spaces for the County’s Committees, and Commissions. With increasing demand and limited availability, it’s becoming more challenging to secure appropriate meeting space, and including Conference Room C would help alleviate some of the scheduling constraints.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board could decide not to approve the new location for Committee/Commission meetings.
