Body

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

The County and Agency have a long history of cooperation, working together to advance water resources management in El Dorado County and ensure alignment and effective management of water-related resources.

During the development of the 2019 Water Resources Development and Management Plan, the Agency, in partnership with the County’s Surveyor, developed an online GIS Water Portal to facilitate efficient and effective data sharing among local agencies and with the public, streamlining access and disseminating information and data pertinent to water management in El Dorado County.

To ensure the ongoing maintenance of the GIS Water Portal and keep its information accurate, current, and cost-effective, the County and the Agency will, with the approval of this agreement, establish an Agency-specific ArcGIS Online account. This account will enable the Agency to manage and update the GIS Water Portal directly, while supporting continued collaboration and data sharing between the County and the Agency.
