Title

Facilities, a division of the Chief Administrative Office, recommending the Board approve and authorize the Chair to sign a budget transfer increasing appropriations in the Motherlode Quimby fund for the Pioneer Park Skatepark Pad Accumulative Capital Outlay project.  (4/5 vote required)

FUNDING: Motherlode Quimby Funds.

Body

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

The County Fiscal Year 2023-24 Accumulative Capital Outlay (ACO) workplan was approved as part of the Fiscal Year 2023-24 Adopted Budget (Legistar Item 23-1771). One of the projects detailed on the ACO workplan is the Pioneer Park Skatepark Pad with funding for the total project costs of $48,747 split between the ACO fund and Quimby funds. Currently, there are $10,010 of funds available in the applicable Quimby Special Revenue Fund.

The Quimby Special Revenue Funds contains fee revenue collected upon the approval of parcel maps and must be used for the improvement of recreation facilities within the Quimby zone in which the fee was collected.

This budget amendment adds appropriations for a transfer from the Motherlode Quimby Fund to the ACO Fund for the Pioneer Park Skatepark Pad project by reducing contingency and increasing interest revenue.

ALTERNATIVES

The Board could choose not to approve the budget transfer.
