Recommending the Executive Committee:
1. Discuss and approve additional Fiscal Year 2023/2024 budget considerations for the following items:
a. Probation, electronic monitoring line item, increase Community Corrections (AB109) Budget by $175,000;
b. Alternate Public Defender add line item for annual training funds to the Community Corrections Training, Planning, and Implementation Budget in the amount of $6,000;
c. HHSA Community Services add line item for new client service devices, increase Community Corrections Training, Planning, and Implementation Budget in the amount of $6,000;
d. Probation add line item for domestic violence fee reduction pilot project to the Community Corrections Training, Planning, and Implementation Budget in the amount of $5,000;
2. Review and approve the revised recommended Fiscal Year 2023/2024 Community Corrections (AB109) Budget; and
3. Review and approve the revised recommended Fiscal Year 2023/2024 Community Corrections Training, Planning, and Implementation Budget; and
4. Approve Chair to submit the revised recommended Fiscal Year 2023/2024 Community Corrections (AB109) Budget, related Implementation Plan, and revised recommended Fiscal Year 2023/2024 Community Corrections Training, Planning, and Implementation Budget to the Board of Supervisors.

Probation will provide background at the meeting and any presentation or data reports will be incorporated into the file item with the minutes.
Alternate Public Defender (APD) item was requested by CAO's Office, Alison M. Winter, Principal Management Analyst in collaboration with District Attorney, Vern Pierson to support the APD with an annual training budget.
HHSA Community Services has requested new laptops for their meetings with clients in the jail or off-site. Request was submitted by HHSA, Fiscal Manger, Ramona Diaz.
Probation has requested to fund a Batterer's Treatment Program Fee Reduction pilot project through the Community Corrections Training, Planning, and Implementation Budget in the amount of $5,000. The pilot project will target Probation's DV justice-involved individuals that are unable to pay for their court ordered Batterer's Treatment Program to increase program participation with the ultimate goal of reducing re-victimization and compliance with the court order. In addition, the department is working with the Court approved vendors to create a programmatic space within the Community Corrections Center to provide Batterer's Treatment Program. Request was submitted by Gary Romanko, Deputy Chief Probation Officer.
