Mountain Counties Water Resources Association represents water interests in all or a portion of 15 California counties in the Sierra Nevada and foothills.The North State Water Alliance (NSWA) is a growing coalition of cities, counties, water providers, business, agriculture and community groups in Northern California. Common geography and interests have brought these jurisdictions together to work closely on water issues. the NSWA mission is to promote responsible statewide water solutions that protect the economy, environment and quality of life for the north state and for all Californians.
 
The Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG), Mountain Counties Water Resources Association and other regional jurisdictions have all passed this Resolution recently.
