DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
Community Development Services, Department of Transportation (Transportation), recommending the Board adopt and authorize the Chair to sign a Resolution accepting the 2017 revisions to the County of El Dorado Maintained Mileage System. The proposed Resolution and accompanying updates to the County system will be submitted to the State of California, pursuant to the Streets and Highways Code, Section 941 and Section 2121.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The roads below were constructed in 2006 as part of the Holow Oak Subdivision but road drainage system deficiencies prevented them from being accepted into the County Maintained Mileage System in 2006. Repairs within the Hollow Oak Subdivision were completed and inspected in 2017. These roads can now be accepted into the County system, as follows:

- Hollow Oak Drive
- Ore Cart Court
- Samuel Way
- Whistlers Bend Way
- Whiskey Drift Drive
- Copper Lantern Court
- Salt Wash Way
- Spinning Wheel Court
- Cradle Mountain Court

Overall, these additions will increase the total County mileage by 2.11 miles bringing the new total to 1082.77 miles (see Attachment C).

There were no changes to mileage based on field or office review of actual road parameters.

ALTERNATIVES
Without the Board's approval of this Resolution, the updates would not be accepted by the State and would adversely affect future State funding. Additionally, the County would not meet the requirements of Streets and Highways Code Section 2121 that mandates submission of changes to the County system in May of each year.
