DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
On October 28, 2025, the Board approved Resolution 159-2025, which adopted the regular meeting calendar of the Board of Supervisors. The Board adopts its regular meeting calendar on an annual basis pursuant to County Ordinance Code Title 2, Chapter 2.03, Section 2.03.020. Special meetings of the Board may be set in accordance with Government Code section 54956 and emergency meetings may be set in accordance with Government Code section 54956.5.
The Board-approved regular meeting calendar noted a special meeting on April 7, 2026, for committee and commission presentations. Staff are requesting the Board adopt the Resolution to make the April 7, 2026, meeting a regular meeting of the Board. Staff will then prepare an agenda for the April 7, 2026, meeting that includes committee and commission presentations as well as additional items that are not specific to committee and commission presentations.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board could not adopt the Resolution and there will not be a regular meeting of the Board on April 7, 2026.

County Counsel has reviewed and approved the Resolution.

CLERK OF THE BOARD FOLLOW UP ACTIONS
The Clerk will obtain the Chair's signature on the Resolution, notify all Departments of the new calendar and post it to the Board of Supervisors webpage.
