DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

A Notice of Vacancy was posted on November 14, 2025 and has remained open to solicit applications. During the application period, only three applications were received. Following a thorough discussion, Council members conducted a formal vote on the appointment of Ms. DeGraaf, Ms. Helgeson and Ms. Denega. After reaching a consensus, the Council proceeded with a recommendation to the Board to move forward with the appointments. This recommendation reflects the Council's dedication to ensuring strong leadership remains in place while continuing its vital mission of supporting and advocating for abused and neglected children. 

Each member serves a two-year term. There are no term limits.

The Board could decide not to approve the appointments.
