Body
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Perimeter, Inc. provides a software subscription for the Perimeter Platform, which allows the Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services (OES) to develop evacuation zone mapping, coordinate with partner response agencies during training and live incidents, and communicate with residents during active emergencies. The platform continues to serve as an effective and valuable tool for the County and collaborating agencies as they work together to plan and implement emergency response operations.

Since Board C-17 requires departments to obtain authorization from the Board of Supervisors to utilize any contract that does not have a stated contract term at least every three years, the Sheriff’s Office is returning to the Board to continue the use of this perpetual contract and to increase Agreement 8071 in order to make payment for an additional year for the software subscription. It is anticipated that future years will likely be around $50,000 as well.

The Perimeter Platform has been deployed during multiple disaster events and has consistently provided critical situational awareness and timely information to residents of El Dorado County.
