Chief Administrative Office, Facilities Division, recommending the Board:
1) Approve the addition of a Capital Project to the Accumulative Capital Outlay (ACO) FY 2019-20 work plan in the amount of $45,000 to refinish the floors at the Veterans Memorial Building; and
2) Approve the attached budget transfer decreasing special projects and contingency and increasing the operating transfer out in the Veteran's House Council special revenue fund and increasing the operating transfer in and fixed asset building improvement appropriations within the ACO fund to allow for the refinishing of the floors at the Veterans Memorial Building. (4/5 vote required)

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Chief Administrative Office, Facilities Division, received a request from the Veteran's House Council to refinish the floors in the Veterans Memorial Building. This request was reviewed and approved by Health and Human Services. Funding for the project is available in the Veterans House Council special revenue fund. This fund receives $15,000 annually from the General Fund to be used for maintenance and building improvement projects at the Veterans Memorial Building.
This project is not currently included in the proposed ACO work plan. Facilities is ready to proceed with the work once the Board approves the project and associated budget transfer. The project includes grinding the existing floor, repairing all cracks and installing two coats of commercial grade epoxy flooring.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board could choose not to approve the project and the floors will not be refinished.
