Chief Administrative Office recommending the Board:
1) Receive and file an update on the Caldor Fire recovery efforts from the Recovery Operations Center, Environmental Management, Planning and Building, and Health & Human Services Agency; and
2) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign a proclamation recognizing the County and the community for their support of those impacted by the Caldor Fire.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Caldor Fire, which began on August 14, 2021, spread rapidly throughout El Dorado County resulting in destruction to homes, businesses, and infrastructure. As of October 21, 2021, the fire is 100% contained, burned 221,835 acres and damaged or destroyed 1,086 structures.
As many County departments are involved in the recovery efforts, each of the departments/agencies will give an update to the Board. A proclamation has been prepared to recognize the County and the community of El Dorado County for their support of those impacted by the Caldor Fire over the past eight months.
