DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND
The Health and Human Services Agency, Public Health, Animal Services and the Community Development Services, Department of Transportation, Fleet Services have determined that the surplus property assets are no longer in use or needed by the departments, as Fleet target mileage has been reached and the vehicle has been replaced. The departments have requested that the attached list of surplus be sold to the City of Marysville, Police Department for use in starting an Animal Services program.

The Community Development Services, Department of Transportation, Fleet Services has put a value of $4,000 on this truck, dog box and light bar based on typical auction sales for like vehicles. There is no comparable book value for this specialty vehicle.

The attached list of "surplus property" reflects those items that remain surplus to the needs of the County. The Purchasing Agent will sell said property in accordance with the Purchasing Ordinance as noted in Section 3.12.210 and Section 3.12.220 thereof by means of auction, direct sale or donation. The sale of personal property to community organizations may be made in accordance with Government Code sections 25365, and pursuant to a written agreement.
