DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Kathy Witherow, who has been serving as Supervisor Veerkamp’s designated alternate on the Community Action Council, retired on June 27, 2026. With her departure, it is necessary to update the representation for Supervisor Veerkamp on the Council to ensure continued participation and avoid any interruption in the County’s involvement. Angelic Madson, who now serves as Supervisor Veerkamp’s Assistant, has been identified as the appropriate individual to assume this role moving forward. To maintain consistency and uphold the County’s commitment to the Community Action Council, Supervisor Veerkamp is requesting that the Board formally approve Angelic Madson as his appointed alternate.
