Supervisor Novasel recommending the Board authorize the Chief Administrative Officer to approve up to eight hours of paid time for County staff who are participating on the holiday choir tour on December 18, 2018.

For 30 years, county employees have participated on an annual holiday choir. Each year, participants who participate on the holiday choir have spent several weeks on their lunch hour practicing holiday songs, and they then tour county facilities on the west slope to sing to county staff and the public, including the Board of Supervisors, seniors, behavioral health clients, children and families at the libraries, and kids in juvenile hall.
Historically, the CAO and/or the Board has authorized staff to perform these tours on County time ranging from 5 - 7 hours.
