Background
Previously, your Board established the Approval Authority to administer the use of Homeland Security Grant funds. The Approval Authority consists of representatives from the City of Placerville, City of South Lake Tahoe, the Sheriff's Department, Fire Districts, and other eligible agencies. The Approval Authority approved a disbursement of $11,660 to the City of South Lake Tahoe for the reimbursement of training on grant purchased equipment.
Reason for Recommendation
Approval of this recommendation will allow the Sheriff's Office to reimburse the City of South Lake Tahoe in an amount not to exceed $11,660 which is being reimbursed by FY 2012 Homeland Security Grant funds to offset 100% of the costs.
Clerk of the Board Follow Up Actions
After execution of this Agreement, the funds will be encumbered by the Procurement and Contracts division, and the City of South Lake Tahoe will be reimbursed based on invoices provided in accordance with the agreement.
