Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
This Agreement will increase revenue for the Department of Transportation (Department) Tahoe Engineering Unit's Erosion Control Program.

Reason for Recommendation:
The California Tahoe Conservancy (CTC) Lease Agreement # CTA-10004 (Agreement) provides for the transfer to El Dorado County (County) of twenty-five percent of the gross income from CTC leases to private individuals or groups on lands owned by the CTC in the County. Pursuant to Government Code Section 66908.3, the CTC is authorized to lease acquired lands. When such lands are within the County and are leased to private individuals or groups, the CTC must transfer twenty-five percent of the gross income of the leases to the County each year. The Agreement is the mechanism that accomplishes this transfer. Pursuant to the Budget Act of 2010, Chapter 712/10, the Legislature has appropriated $3,833 to the CTC for transfer to the County as private lease revenue for this fiscal year.
