DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

Folsom Police Department has expressed an interest in using the Sheriff’s Office Brian Ishmael Shooting Range for local officer training purposes on mutually agreed upon dates and times.

This request for the Board’s approval and authorization for the chair to sign the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office Range Use license agreement is necessary for revenue generating agreements that are contracting with outside agencies.

Providing this resource to another local law enforcement agency strengthens relationships between agencies and provides revenue for offsetting general range maintenance expenditures.

ALTERNATIVES

The Board could choose not to approve this item, however, the revenue generating agreement allows for a strengthened relationship between agencies.
