Supervisor Laine and Supervisor Parlin recommending the Board adopt and authorize the Chair to sign Resolution 105-2026 which approves and authorizes the Arts and Culture El Dorado to submit proposals to the California Arts Council for the State-Local Partnership Program and to execute the grant contract if the grant is awarded. This Resolution will rescind and replace Resolution 054-2019.

The California Arts Council has announced the availability of funding through its State-Local Partnership Program, which is designed to strengthen local arts agencies and support arts programming that reflects community needs. The Arts and Culture El Dorado, as the County’s designated local arts agency, is eligible to apply for this funding.
Approval of this item will allow Arts and Culture El Dorado to prepare and submit a proposal to the California Arts Council for consideration. If awarded, the grant would provide resources to enhance arts programming, expand community outreach, and support collaborative cultural initiatives within El Dorado County.
This authorization also enables Arts and Culture El Dorado to execute the grant contract and any related documents required by the California Arts Council in order to accept and administer the funds. There is no financial impact to the County associated with submitting the application, and any grant award would be administered by Arts and Culture El Dorado in accordance with State requirements.
