Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: Public Health has advised General Services that funds are available within their FY 2006/07 budget and FY 2007/08 budget.
 
Background: On December 12, 2006 the Board of Supervisor's approved item #58 for the temporary Animal Control Shelter.  The tenant improvements will not be completed for approximately 6 months resulting in the need for the interim facility.
 
Reason for Recommendation: The current interim facility lease agreement expires June 15, 2007. The Public Health Department has expressed their need to continue occupancy of this facility for the temporary housing of dogs. The purpose of this amendment is to convert to a month to month lease commencing June 16, 2007. The lease amount is $8,500.00 per month.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:The Board Clerk's office will forward the executed to General Services a fully executed original copy of the Amendment I to Lease Agreement 528-L0711 for distribuiton and administration.
