DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
On September 12, 2023, with Legistar Item 23-1541 V1, your Board directed staff to make edits to Recommendations 5 and 8 in Case 22-23 GJ03. The updated report is attached in track changes (Attachment D) and as a clean version (Attachment E).
The 2022-23 Grand Jury published one Final Report on June 30, 2023, on the following subjects:

Case 22-23 GJ03 - Building Projects - Can You Help Me…PLEASE?
Case 22-23 GJ04 - How Will Grizzly Flats Water District Survive?
Under the California Penal Code section 933 (c), the Board of Supervisors must provide a response to the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court within 90 days of the date that a Final Report is made available to the public. The response to the report is due by September 28, 2023, and the proposed response is therefore being submitted to your Board for approval.
The attached draft response has been prepared in the form prescribed by Penal Code section 933.05 and addresses the findings and recommendations of the Grand Jury for which the Grand Jury requested a response from the Board of Supervisors.
