Background:
On October 21, 2001 Senate Bill 736 was signed into law. Among other provisions, the bill required the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council (JJCC) to review the Comprehensive Multi-agency Juvenile Justice Plan (CMJJP) annually. The JJCC reconvened on March 8, 2012 for the purpose of reaffirming its support for the CART Program for fiscal year 2012/13.
CSA is operating under the assumption that funding for the JJCPA program will continue beyond July 1, 2012. CSA estimates that the allocation amount received by each county for Fiscal Year 2012-13 will be similar to the allocation amount received for the FY 2011-12 program, subject to Legislative appropriation.
