Title
Supervisor Knight recommending the Board adopt a Proclamation recognizing September 15, 2012 as the Great Sierra River Clean Up Day.

Body
American River Conservancy is helping to coordinate the annual river and stream clean up that coincides with California's Coastal Cleanup. One of the hallmarks of the event is to educate the public about the importance of clean water and keeping our streams and rivers free of trash and debris. Local waterways such as Hangtown Creek, South Fork American River and the Cosumnes River will be among the target clean up sites.

Join us for The Great Sierra River Clean-up on September 15th.
This event has become an annual tradition in the Sierra Foothills. Numerous agencies partner together to conduct clean-up efforts along the creeks, streams, rivers and lakes of the Sierra Nevada. ARC is once again a partner in this effort and will spread our efforts out through numerous clean-up sites in El Dorado County.
