DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The 2025-27 Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC) Strategic Plan is a guiding document for the organization from which the RCRC Board of Directors set policies and priorities to advance the interests of rural counties.
RCRC Board of Directors identified the following strategic plan goals:
1) Equitable Access, with emphasis on broadband, housing, health services, and insurance.
2) Impactful Policy Advancement, with emphasis on rural education and outreach, innovative approaches, and local control.
3) Healthy Communities, with emphasis on forest resiliency and wildfire, resource management, economic development, tribal collaboration, and infrastructure.
4) Operational Excellence, with emphasis on fiscal health, technology, human resources, member engagement, and communication.
The representatives from RCRC also plans on presenting on their state and federal advocacy as well as the work of their affiliated entities.
