Reason for Recommendation:
Public utilities easements, as shown on Cameron Park North, Unit 6 final map recorded in Book D of Subdivision Maps at Page 80, were irrevocably offered in perpetuity to the County of El Dorado and accepted by the Board of Supervisors in May of 1967.
An application has been submitted by Kenneth N. Blomsterberg and Rosalind D. Blomsterberg, requesting that the County of El Dorado Board of Supervisors vacate a public utilities easement located on the side property lines of Lot 137, identified as Assessor’s Parcel Number 083-261-33. Said easement is more particularly described in Exhibit “A” and depicted in Exhibit “B” of the attached Resolution.
The subject property is located on Sudbury Road, east of Cameron Park Drive and north of U.S. Highway 50, in Cameron Park. Said action is necessary to accommodate construction of improvements on the subject lot.
All utility companies that could be impacted by this vacation have provided the Department of Transportation with written notification that they have no facilities within the subject areas and have no objection to the proposed abandonment. All other existing easements will remain. The Department of Transportation’s staff has reviewed the request and has no objection.
