DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Implicit bias is the attitudes or stereotypes that affect our understanding, actions and decisions in an unconscious manner. Implicit biases can be positive or negative. Implicit bias matters because everyone possesses these unconscious associations and implicit bias affects our decisions, behaviors and interactions with others. Implicit bias training can lead to better outcomes around diversity and inclusion.

The Board could decide not to make this a requirement for being appointed to a Committee/Commission/Board.
