Library Department recommending the Board:
1) Accept a $180,000 donation from the Borovicka Trust to be used for operations of the Placerville (Main) Library; and

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
George and Jeannette Borovicka established a trust leaving a percentage of their estate to the El Dorado County Library. As the Borovickas were long-time users of the Placerville Library, the trustee has designated the Placerville Library as the beneficiary of their generosity.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board could choose not to accept the donation.
