Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
There is no Fiscal Impact or Net County Cost associated with this agenda item.
Background:
On June 28, 2012, the Board adopted Ordinance 3721, establishing off-site land use and development standards in the vicinity of County Airports. Section 17.38.062 was amended on March 31, 2009, requiring review of discretionary projects by the Airport Land Use Commission and granting of an avigation and noise easement if determined necessary to protect the public safety and the continued operation of the airport. The offers of easements were a result of conditions of approval imposed on Parcel Map P10-0004 (original applicant was Michael W. Jones).
The project is located in Safety Zone 3 of the Placerville Airport. Acceptance and recordation of the easement notifies future buyers of restrictions affecting the property, including potential noise impacts and height limitations.
Reason for Recommendation:
The Community Development Agency, Development Services Division, has reviewed said Avigation and Noise Easement and Certificate of Acceptance and supports the Boards acceptance.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
Board Clerk's Office will execute the Avigation and Noise Easement, and Certificate of Acceptance and return to the Office of the County Surveyor for recordation.
