Background:
On October 21, 2001 Senate Bill 736 was signed into law. Among other provisions, the bill required the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council (JJCC) to review the Comprehensive Multi-agency Juvenile Justice Plan (CMJJP) annually. The JJCC is scheduled to reconvene on April 12, 2011 for the purpose of reaffirming its support for the CART Program should funds allocated to El Dorado County continue for fiscal year 2011/12.
On March 15, 2011 Counties were notified by CDCR that though there is a degree of uncertainty, CSA is operating under the assumption that funding for the JJCPA program will continue beyond July 1, 2011. CSA estimates that the allocation amount received by each county for Fiscal Year 2011-12 will be similar to the allocation amount received for the FY 2010-11 program, subject to Legislative appropriation.
