Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: Cost savings will be variable.
Background: In December 2008, the Board adopted a VTO resolution implementing the program through June 30, 2009. The program allows employees to take voluntary time off without pay with department head approval. Any requests in excess of 10 days must be approved through the Chief Administrative Office. Departments have expressed interest in extending this program for FY 2009-10.
Reason for Recommendation: Adoption of the attached resolution will allow for implementation of the VTO program for FY 2009-10.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Board clerk to forward signed resolution to the Chief Administrative Office for implementation.
