Reason for Recommendation:
Public utility easements as shown on Tahoe Paradise Unit No. 45 final map, recorded in Book D of Subdivision Maps at Page 32, were irrevocably offered in perpetuity to the County of El Dorado and accepted by the Board of Supervisors in November of 1964.
An application has been submitted by Teresa J. Winchester, Trustee, and Laura Silvieus, Trustee, owners of Lot 98, requesting that the County of El Dorado Board of Supervisors vacate a portion of the front public utility easement that is found to be an encumbrance that unnecessarily restricts development of the subject lot, located along the front 20 feet adjacent to Hidatsa Court of Lot 98, identified as Assessor’s Parcel Number 034-665-17. Said easement is more particularly described in Exhibit A and depicted in Exhibit B of the attached Resolution.
The subject property is located on Hidatsa Court, east of Highway 89 and south of Pioneer Trail, in Meyers, South Lake Tahoe. Said action is necessary to accommodate an existing carport built in the public utility easement on the subject lot.
