DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
For the past several years, the El Dorado Union High School District (EDUHSD) has contracted with the Sheriff’s Office to provide a law enforcement presence at various school functions including dances, sporting events, and other activities that attract large crowds. The presence of law enforcement serves to promote public safety, strengthen community relations, and deter illegal activity, while ensuring the protection of all individuals in attendance.
EDUHSD will be charged $103.50 per hour per Deputy Sheriff and $127.97 per hour per Sergeant during the 2026-2027 school year. The agreement will be effective upon execution through June 30, 2027.
