Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost
The District Attorney's FY 14/15 Net County Cost will increase by $81,000 and General Fund Contingency will be reduced $81,000.
Background
The department recently had a Deputy District Attorney elected to the El Dorado County Superior Court for a term commencing in January, 2015. County personnel rules permit an unbudgeted cash out. In addition, the department's Forensic Auditor recently resigned to take a position with the Department of Justice and another Deputy District Attorneys has recently given notice of her resignation to take a position with the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office, which has resulted/will result in a large one-time payouts that were not included in the budget. The District Attorney is not able to absorb these payouts within their budget. General Fund Contingency is available to fund these one-time costs.
Action(s) to be taken following Board approval
Board Chairman to sign budget transfer and forward to the Auditor-Controller for processing.
