Background
The 33rd Annual "Apple Hill Harvest Run" Event is sponsored by the Camino School Parents' Club and the Apple Hill Growers' Association. The Harvest Run will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2012, between 7:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., and will start and finish at the Para Vi Winery. The sponsors have requested the road closures as follows:
Full Closure:
- Larsen Drive between North Canyon & Cable Road ................. 8:50 am -10:15 am
- Larsen Drive between North Canyon & Carson Road ............ 7:00 am -11:15 am
One Lane Closure:
- Barkley Road (EB) between Larsen Dr. & Carson Road ......... 8:50 am -10:30 am
- Cable Road (NB) between Larsen Dr. & Carson Road ........... 9:00 am - 9:50 am
- D Street (NB) between Carson Rd. & 2nd Street ..................... 8:55 am - 9:30 am
- 2nd Street (EB) between D Street & Larsen Drive ................ 8:55 am - 9:30 am
- Carson Rd. (WB) between Barkley Rd & North Canyon ...... 8:40 am -10:00 am
- North Canyon (EB) between Carson Rd. & Larsen Drive .... 9:00 am -10:45 am
Reason for Recommendation
The Department of Transportation is recommending Board approval of the road closures to provide for the safety of participants, volunteers and spectators along the course, and to assist in the success of this community event. Other involved agencies have made no objections to this closure.
