Health Services Department recommending Board authorize the Chair to sign Agreement 035-162-P-R2010 (10-NNA09) with the State of California, Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs for the term July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2013, with a total not-to-exceed amount of $3,144,735 for the term of the Agreement, to provide Alcohol and Drug Counseling services through the County Alcohol and Drug Program.

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: There is no Net County Cost associated with this Agreement. This three-year Agreement is adjusted periodically by the State, and the initial year is budgeted in the FY 2010-11 budget.
Background: The County of El Dorado receives funding for their Alcohol and Drug Program (ADP) services from the State of California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs (CADADP) via the multi-year (FY 2010-13) Net Negotiated Amount (NNA) Agreement. These funds are used to provide alcohol and drug treatment services to eligible clients both by County staff and through local treatment service providers.
Reason for Recommendation: Approval of this Agreement with CADADP will allow the County to continue to provide treatment services for the clients found to be eligible for the program.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
- Chair to sign four (4) Agreements 035-162-P-R2010 (10-NNA09).
- Board Clerk’s Office to return four (4) signed Agreements to Department.
- Department to return signed Agreements to the State.
- Department to return one (1) fully executed Agreement to the Board Clerk’s Office upon receipt from the State.
