No change. Sufficient appropriations for the purchase of the two SMART Boards and two Audience Response Systems are included in the Agency’s FY 2013-14 Budget. Following Board approval a budget transfer will be processed to adjust the Agency’s FY 2013-14 Budget to increase fixed asset appropriations and reduce Salaries & Benefits and Services & Supply appropriations by a corresponding amount.
Background
The Preparedness Program is grant funded by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to provide response education and training for staff partners and the public. The Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) administers the Preparedness Program for El Dorado County and offers services in Placerville and South Lake Tahoe. The fixed assets requested will allow the program to conduct preparedness trainings and exercise activities interactively to improve learning outcomes and advance the agency’s ability to be ready in the event of a disaster. Specifically, the SMART boards will be used for back up in the Department Operations Center (DOC) at satellite offices in South Lake Tahoe and the Agency’s admin building as well as interactive situation status boards.
