Supervisor Ranalli recommending Board receive presentation provided by the members of the El Dorado County 4-H All Star Ambassador team. Members of the All Star Ambassador team will provide the Board and members of the public with an overview of the 4-H program including the history of 4-H and information on the variety of youth leadership program and project opportunities available to young people throughout the County of El Dorado. 4-H youth are a living, breathing, culture-changing Revolution for doing the right thing, breaking through obstacles and pushing our country forward by making a measurable difference right where they live. In the County of El Dorado, youth are learning life skills, community engagement and leadership by participating in projects such as; rockets, veterinary science, outdoor cooking, arts & crafts and bee-keeping.
El Dorado County 4-H includes the Community Club program, Youth Leadership and Summer Camp. All 4-H programs offer opportunities for youth to learn by doing.
The El Dorado County 4-H All Star Ambassador is the highest recognized rank of 4-H achievement in the county. In order to serve as an All Star Ambassador these members completed their bronze, silver and gold stars and demonstrated proven leadership skills in their club and community. All Star Ambassadors represent 4-H in the county and surrounding areas, assist with program development, host events and serve as role models.
All Star Ambassadors are selected through a rigorous interview process and are expected to contribute to positive youth development through service to the 4-H program and local community.
