Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
The Department has been working with several of its funding agencies and has secured funding in the amount of $1,479,000 for the initial stages of restoration work in the Angora Fire burn area by redirecting other project funding within the burn area and securing new monies . The funding will come from the California Tahoe Conservancy (CTC), the United States Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) and the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA). The Department is also in the process of seeking funding through the Office of Emergency Services (OES) but has not yet secured any OES funding.

The Department proposes to secure assistance from outside contractors to perform restoration work to prepare the area for the impending winter.
