DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Parks and Recreation Commission (PRC) was established in 1988 by the Board of Supervisors to recognize the importance of recreation for the physical and mental health of both the residents of, and visitors to, El Dorado County. The purpose of the Parks and Recreation Commission is to oversee the development and maintenance of recreational opportunities within its borders.
In alignment with the County expectations for all commissions and committees, the PRC is requested to submit an annual report to the Board of Supervisors. This report outlines the PRC’s purpose and objectives, membership, Fiscal Year 2024-25 accomplishments, Fiscal Year 2025-26 challenges, review of governing documents, and upcoming goals.
