The Early Care and Education Council is mandated by Assembly Bill 1542 to convene broad representation from throughout the county for the purposes of addressing child care and education. Applications for appointments to this council are reviewed by the executive committee and the Early Care and Education Council then forwarded with their recommendation to the Board of Supervisors and the Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Vicki Barber, for final approval.
