Procurement and Contracts, a division of the Chief Administrative Office, on behalf the Department of Transportation, recommending the Board approve the following:
1) Award Bid 2025-0106 for the purchase of Bulk Lubricants to the low qualified bidder, Hunt and Sons, Inc. of Sacramento, CA;
2) Authorize the Purchasing Agent to issue a purchase contract with Hunt and Sons, Inc. for the amount of $315,000 for a 36-month term beginning on July 1, 2025 for the as-needed purchase of Bulk Lubricants, following Board approval; and
3) Authorize the Purchasing Agent to increase the purchase contract as needed during the awarded period as long as funding is available within the requesting department's budget.
FUNDING: Road Fund (100% Local) and Fleet Internal Service Fund (Charges to County Departments with Various Funding).

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
At the request of the Department of Transportation, Procurement and Contracts, issued an Invitation to Bid for Bulk Lubricants for use in maintaining County vehicles and equipment by staff. The Invitation to Bid was published in the County's eProcurement system, PlanetBids. Six bid notices were sent to vendors, with one local vendor registered as El Dorado County vendor in PlanetBids. Two qualified responses were received, Hunt and Sons, Inc. of Sacramento, CA was the apparent low qualified bidder for both the East and West Slope of El Dorado County. No protests were received during the protest period.
