Chief Administrative Office recommending the Board:
1) Find that a public benefit is derived from supporting the Tahoe Home Connection efforts to identify additional long term rental housing in the Tahoe basin; and
2) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign the attached Funding Agreement with the Community Foundation, on behalf of Tahoe Home Connection, authorizing payment of the $1,500 community funding contribution in support of these efforts.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
On April 23, 2019, the Board directed staff to return to the Board with a funding agreement in order to award $1,500 to Tahoe Home Connection to assist with their efforts to partner with second home owners to lease their homes through flexible leases, discount property management services and other incentives.
A funding agreement is required in order for the County to process the payment to Tahoe Home Connection. Approval of the funding agreement also provides the finding that a public benefit is derived from supporting this endeavor, which seeks to identify long term rental housing in the Tahoe basin. As Tahoe Home Connection is a fund of the El Dorado Community Foundation, the funding agreement is between the County and the Community Foundation, on behalf of Tahoe Home Connection.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board could choose not to approve the funding agreement, and no funding would be provided in support of these efforts.
