Background: California Department of Public Health (CDPH) provides funding via the National Bioterrorism Hospital Preparedness Program Local Funding Agreement that is intended to assist in preparedness for and response to bioterrorism, outbreaks of infectious disease, and other public health threats and emergencies. The purpose of this Amendment I to Agreement 756-PHD0508 with Marshall Medical Center and Amendment I to Agreement 755-PHD0508 with Barton Healthcare System is to fund training and assist with the purchase of a variety of items to be used in the event of a public health emergency. The training and equipment will enhance the hospitals' ability to deliver coordinated and effective care to victims of terrorism and other public emergencies.

Equipment and supplies purchased with the funds in these Agreements must be made available upon request to the Health Services Department - Public Health Division.
