Planning and Building Department, Cemeteries Division, recommending the Board, based on the recommendation of the Georgetown Cemetery Zone of Benefit Advisory Committee, accept the following resignation and make the following appointment to the Georgetown Cemetery Zone of Benefit Advisory Committee:
1) Accept the resignation of Warren Harrell; and
2) Appoint Shane Simmons as a Member (Vacant) to the Georgetown Cemetery Zone of Benefit Advisory Committee, with a Term Expiration of January 01, 2023.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors posted a Notice of Vacancy on October 7, 2020, to fill one vacancy on the Georgetown Cemetery Zone of Benefit Advisory Committee (GCAC). One application was received and the GCAC voted unanimously to recommend the appointment of Shane Simmons as a Member to the GCAC. Based on this recommendation, the Planning and Building Department, Cemeteries Division, recommends that the Board appoint Shane Simmons as a Member to the GCAC.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board could choose not to appoint Shane Simmons as a Member to the GCAC and direct the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors to post another Notice of Vacancy.
