Title
Chief Administrative Office recommending the Board waive Building Permit fees in an amount up to $5,000 for Bloo Solar on APN 117-085-13.
Body
Reason for Recommendation
In 1990, the Board adopted Board Policy J-2, Economic Development Policy on - Priority Industrial and Commercial Projects, to provide for priority treatment for commercial and industrial projects being processed in El Dorado County.  This policy acknowledges the County's responsibility for both social and economic development and to assure the County tax base is adequate for the future.
In accordance with this policy, the Chief Administrative Office and Development Services have provided priority treatment to a new company, Bloo Solar, to establish itself in El Dorado County.  Bloo Solar is a new 3rd generation three dimensional solar energy company located in El Dorado Hills.  Priority processing included expedited review and approval of Building Permits that were needed to make changes to an existing building (tenant improvements).  Two permits (Permit 210649 and Permit 203185) were issued and finaled.  The Development Services Director authorized tentative Building Permit fee waivers of approximately $2,600 for these permits.
At this time, the Chief Administrative Office requests the Board formally waive the Building Permit fees for Permits 210649 and 203185.  Since there may additional fees or Building Permits associated with this project, the Chief Administrative Office requests the Board approve building fee waivers in an amount not to exceed $5,000 for Permits 210649, 203185, and any revisions or new permits needed by Bloo Solar on APN 117-085-13.  (Note that the fee waiver is only for Building Permit fees and does not waive mandated State fees or any potential impact fees.)
