1) Make findings that Miles Treaster & Associates of Sacramento, CA can no longer supply HON metal filing and storage furniture in accordance with Invitation to Bid 24-0028 - Category 2 Bid award; and
2) Authorize the Purchasing Agent to issue a change order to purchase contract 8651 transferring Bid 24-0028, Category 2 - HON metal filing and storage, to Walkers Office Supply of Rocklin, CA.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Procurement and Contracts Division issued Invitation to Bid 24-0028 for the purchase of Office Furniture, which included Category 1 for Office Master Chairs, Category 2 for HON metal filing and storage, Category 3 for Performance Line Desking, and Category 4 for Workrite Keyboard Trays. The lowest qualified bidder for Category 2 - HON metal filing and storage was Miles Treaster & Associates of Sacramento, CA. at a discount of 54% off list price. Miles Treaster & Associate's distributor for HON metal filing and storage is no longer selling independent office products, therefore eliminating the vendor's ability to supply the product to the County. The vendor has requested the cancellation of their Purchase Contract 8650 with the County. The second lowest qualified bidder was Walkers Office Supply of Rocklin, CA. at 48% discount off list price and this vendor has stated that they are willing to take this category over for the remainder of the term through April 11, 2027.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board may choose not to award Category 2 - HON metal filing and storage to the second lowest qualified bidder, Walkers Office Supply of Rocklin, CA, which would result in reduced savings for HON metal filing and storage purchases made by County departments.
