Title
County Counsel recommending the Board approve the revised conflict of interest codes received from Georgetown Divide Resource Conservation District, East China Hill Community Services District, Fallen Leaf Lake Community Services District, and Rolling Hills Community Services District.
Body

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:  None

Background:  Every two years, local public entities operating within the county must review their conflict of interest codes and determine whether changes should be made in order to bring them up to date.  Under state law, the Board of Supervisors is the "code reviewing body" and must review and approve the local public entities' revised conflict of interest codes.  Recently the Georgetown Divide Resource Conservation District, East China Hill Community Services District, Fallen Leaf Lake Community Services District, and Rolling Hills Community Services District has updated and revised their conflict of interest codes to meet the present requirements of state law, and have submitted them to the county for review and approval.  County Counsel's office has reviewed the new conflict of interest codes recently adopted by the entities and find that they are in conformance with state law.

Action to be taken following Board approval:  Approval of the updated conflict of interest codes by the Board of Supervisors make those codes effective.  Notice of the Board of Supervisors' approval will be transmitted to the entities by staff.  No further action by the Board is necessary.
