Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: There is no Net County Cost associated with these grant Agreements. Both grants require a twenty percent (20%) match, which the State has agreed may be satisfied by in-kind services paid through Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment (SAPT) Federal Block Grant funding.

Background: The Health Services Department, in collaboration with the Department of Human Services and the Superior Court, oversees the Dependency Drug Court program which provides treatment for parents whose substance abuse contributes to child abuse and/or neglect resulting in involvement with juvenile court dependency proceedings under the Welfare and Institutions (W&I) Code Section 300 et seq. Funding for this program is provided by a CDCI-DDC grant from the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs.
