Background:
El Dorado County has established Juvenile Detention Facilities designed for the reception and temporary care of minors pursuant to title 15 of the California code of Regulation and detained in accordance with the provisions of the California Welfare and Institutions Code.
Reason for Recommendation:
Pursuant to Board of Supervisors Policy C-1, Contracts with Other Counties, and Policy C-17, Procurement Policy, Section 4.5, Contract Term, "Departments must obtain authorization from the Board of Supervisors, initially, and on an annual basis, to utilize any contract that does not have a stated contract term."
Fully executed agreements are currently in place for the County of Alpine, #440-S0411; County of Amador, #441-S0411; County of Calaveras, #438-S0411; County of Placer, #436-S0411; and County of Plumas, #439-S0411; all said agreeements do not have a stated contract term.
Said Counties place ward(s) of its juvenile court in El Dorado County's Juvenile Detention Facilities on a space available basis only at an agreed to rate of $100 per day.
