Recorder-Clerk-Registrar of Voters recommending the Board consider the following:
1) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign Resolution 088-2015 for a Grant Fund Agreement, of $17,000 from April 15, 2015 to June 30, 2016, available under the Help America Vote Act Polling Place Accessibility Training Program; and
2) Authorize the Recorder-Clerk-Registrar of Voters to execute Grant Funding Agreement No. 14G26108.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Secretary of State has made $17,000 available in the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) grant funds for attendance at Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) regional training sessions and for polling place improvements and equipment necessary to implement the HAVA Section 261 requirement.
The Elections Department will use the grant funds to attend DOR training, update accessibility surveys for polling places to be used in 2015 and 2016 elections and purchase equipment to improve polling place accessibility.

It is recommended that the Board approve this item for grant funds to assist the Registrar of Voters.
