Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost
There is no change to net County cost. The Overlay-Francisco Drive Project Class II Bike Lanes between El Dorado Hills Blvd and Cambria Way/Embarcadero Drive (CIP Project No. 72186) was included in the budget and the 2013 Capital Improvement Program.

Background
In July 2013, the Community Development Agency, Transportation Division (Transportation) submitted a project funding request to the El Dorado County Transportation Commission (EDCTC) for $50,000 of Transportation Enhancement (TE) funds. The TE funds were requested for construction of future bicycle facilities along Francisco Drive.

The Francisco Drive overlay project construction included improving existing roadway gravel shoulders with asphalt concrete pavement and striping for Class II bike lanes between Cambria Way/Embarcadero Drive and the northern limits of the Francisco Drive Right-Turn Pocket Project.

On August 1, 2013 the EDCTC's Board of Directors adopted Resolution 13/14.03 allocating $50,000 in State Exchange Transportation Enhancements funds to Transportation for the Project.

The Overlay-Francisco Drive Project was completed in FY 2013/14 with Regional Surface Transportation Program funds in addition to the requested TE funds.
